How it Started
Our western story began in the mountains of Holladay, Utah, with a modern garden that transformed a challenging alpine site into a layered, vibrant landscape for an active family. That project opened the door to new opportunities and ultimately led to the launch of CHLA West.
Grounded in the principles of our book, The Enduring Garden: The Tame and the Wild, our work in mountain and alpine environments continues to explore the relationship between people and place.
