CHLA designed a stormwater retrofit at the entrance of Adkins Arboretum. Under the title “Parking Lot Alive” the project will treat, store and release water from the existing lot, while providing shade and creating a connected system of storm water gardens. The design provides a procession for guests as they arrive, educating them about clean watering with native plants and water movement.
