This year, Parking Day was held on State Circle and the theme was community outreach and civic opportunity. We had fun inviting people to grab a plant, decorate a pot, and take it with them!
What is parking day??
Parking Day is an annual event where communities, designers and store owners temporarily transform parking spaces into vibrant parks or creative interventions. Started in 2005 in San Francisco, the event has grown into a global movement. Participants use this day to reimagine urban spaces and highlight the importance of creating more people-centric environments.
At CHLA Parking Day is right up our alley! Each year it gives us a chance to celebrate our passion for transforming urban spaces into vibrant, green environments—something we’ve always believed in. It’s also a great opportunity to connect with the community and highlight how sustainable designs can make cities more enjoyable and eco-friendly.
